Magna CMGN Solutions Inc., a key player in the Philippine interior construction materials market, showcased its innovative products and services at PhilConstruct Visayas.
The event, held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, highlighted the company’s evolution from a trading entity to a full-fledged manufacturing and design firm.
“Innovation is important. You have to embrace change,” Magna President Marylou Ngo-Ang said in an interview on the event’s opening day.
Established in 2003, Magna initially focused on importing raw materials and components. Today, it offers comprehensive fit-out services and manufactures high-quality pre-finished products for building interiors, including ceilings, floor finishes, and cabinetry components.
Equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, Magna utilizes environmentally compliant and user-friendly raw materials, positioning itself to enter the international market.
Its product range includes boards made from polymer fiber, natural stone veneer laminate, and cellular polycarbonate, alongside fabric from natural and synthetic fibers, lighting solutions, interior décor, and both interior and exterior paints.
In response to the digital age, Magna leverages social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Reels to market its products locally and internationally. “We’ve even received inquiries from abroad,” Ngo-Ang noted.
Domestically, Magna caters to the residential and hospitality sectors and the renovation market, driven by the needs of growing families. The company prioritizes quality, acknowledging that today’s consumers are discerning and value-driven.
At PhilConstruct Visayas, Magna’s booth displayed a wide array of its innovative offerings. The trade show, organized by the Philippine Constructors Association and the Cebu Contractors Association, features approximately 200 participants and runs from June 20 to 22. It aims to bridge the gap between emerging technology and construction industry challenges.
“This is where we help bridge the gap between the technology and the problems in construction,” said Chairman Kevin Sean Lim. He emphasized the event’s role in introducing technological advancements that can enhance productivity and quality while addressing the rising costs of construction materials. “We always try to find the best solution to deliver the best compromise and price to our clients.”
PhilConstruct Visayas stands as a platform for showcasing globally competitive technological breakthroughs, the latest in design and building materials, and opportunities for knowledge sharing and skills development.
