Philippine stocks continue their winning streaks as the Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) gained 1.34 percent and All Shares ended 0.50 percent higher in today’s trading session at the Philippine Stock Exchange.
The PSEi gained 93.56 points to end the day at 7,055.49 while All Shares added 20.23 points to hit 4,031.78. All of the indexes posted gains, led by Services, which ended the day 2.51 percent higher.
The best performer was TKC Steel Corporation (PSE:T), which gained 23.21 percent to trade at Php1.68 at the close.
Other stocks that posted double-digit gains in today’s close were Splash Corporation (PSE:SPH), which gained 22.12 percent; F&J Prince Holding Corp (PSE:FJP), which closed 12.58 percent higher; PetroEnergy Resources Corp (PSE:PERC), which added 12.50 percent to its value; and Transpacific Broadband Group Group International (PSE:TBGI), which gained 10 percent at the close.
Leading the declines was Philippine Trust Company (PSE:PTC), the only stock that posted double-digit decline at 30.29 percent.
Advances overtake declines 113 to 67, while 46 stocks remained unchanged at the close.
Financials gained 1.15 percent, Industrials 1.03 percent, Holdings firms 1.09 percent, Property 0.9 percent, Services 2.51 percent, and Mining & Oil 0.79 percent.
Foreign buying also surpassed foreign selling by Php114.52 million, with total foreign selling / buying at Php10.36 billion. – BusinessNewsAsia.com
